well, i'm sure how much technique the artist used on this deviation...but here's what my gruff opinions and thoughts are:

-I sure as hell understand the vision. The artist was trying to paint a rose, but unfortunately, only mother nature can do that m'dear.

-original? maybe because i have seen this in anime before...but i don't know if you have seen it before.

-Surefire impact no matter who you are. I'm no photographer by any means...but i still love how this grabs you by the gut.

I think it deserved a Daily Deviation for sure. So did the artist for starting small...and ending big. Good job dzlr123!

from the moment I saw it I knew I loved it but I thought at first photo then painting then photo It's both the clarity & texture of petals & lack of background it really makes me stop & "smell" the roses the only bit that isn't crystal clear ir the bit ot stem at the bottom that looks to be a bit farther back

the concept i just love a guy resorting to painting real flowers in her fave color for his girl although most girls would get a giggle outta that cause they know the food color trick but the sentiment would surely get you off the hook for what ever you did
